Where does everyone get their quarters or other parts. Looking for new quarters and all of the prices seem pretty fixed. $1722 for the pair shipped from Year One seems hard to swallow. New to the Mopars and so far the only thing I know for sure is the distributor is in the wrong place. Thanks for any info / advice.

Try Tamraz's parts out of Illinois. They sell AMD sheetmetal and want $1508.00 for a pair of 69 Coronet quarters shipped. They also sell on Ebay.....

FYI Remember with the quarters you'll need the drip edge channels/strips for the trunk weatherstrip if they don't come with them.

Jeff at 521 restorations....A great guy to deal with, real good rates (including FBBO member discount) and will have the parts drop shipped right to your door from AMD

Whoooaaa! What happened to prices on these? I bought a pair from Year One about 7 or 8 years ago and they were only $439. I got a 20% discount on top of that, of course I still had to pay the shipping charges too.

Rear Quarter Panels - Pair KQ557LHRH $439.00

Can't believe they have gone up that much, that's unbelieveable!

Ahhh....mine were the quarter skins and yours must be the Full quarters. They didn't have the Full quarters back in '02 when I bought mine.

Still seems like too much price difference between them though.

7-8 years ago they were side skins. The AMD are full quarters.I have used AMD and it is the best you can buy, really nice metal.

I bought a 1/4 skin from Tameraz for a 65 Impala I'm doing at work, it was the cheapest, but it was very poor quality and dented up all over. and the bottom lip was too short, it was about an inch and a half from reaching the pinch weld and I had to add a piece in there. I will not buy from them ever again. Also, I bought the 1/4 on ebay from them and opted to pay via credit card instead of paypal, and they reported to ebay that I did not pay even though I did, and for 3 months after that paypal put a hold on all of my money from parts I sold on ebay because Tameraz had reported that I failed to pay when I had. I was very displeased with there part and service.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Originally looked at Year One but the $200 plus on shipping kills it + they will not allow discounts on the quarters. What is the $1000 difference on the 1/4s vs. the skins, is the quarter an inner and outer piece? Thanks again for the info.

I bought a set off full quarter panels (AMD) for by 68 superbee , you will know the different when your done with your car. The 1000 dollar more is money well spent.

I agree! Jeff is a great guy and his prices will never be beat! Anytime I need AMD parts Jeff is the go to guy.

Never I repeat Never buy anything from Queer One..... they are the antichrist of the car hobby.

your problem is year one!
you are paying a suggested list price when you buy from there.
if you go to a discount distributor like jeff as we mentioned
more then once you will get a much better deal.
you will probably save that 200 dollars and more!

the difference between a skin and a full quarter is you are
getting the complete panel
that goes right to the place where the original panel mated up.
vs a skin that is just the outer shell of that panel.
you will have to splice that skin into the orig panel somewhere
which is more work to install...

AMD is the way to go, I called them direct to order for my 69bee.Just like everyone is saying about AMD products money well spent

I bought from jef, thats the way to go drop shiped from amd right to my door , cant beat jeff you will have no problems

Thanks for all the input, greatly appreciated.

Buy from Jeff, I did for my 69 roadrunner, I'll buy from him again on future projects.

As far as a skin being harder to install than a full quarter... I don't agree with that.

You have to do major surgury to do a full quarter.

My thoughts are replace what cannot be fixed with a hammer and dolly, cut no further than you have too.
