Hey guys new to the forums here we go. Im looking to eliminate the rear leafs and shocks outta my new project . So im leaning towards some new coil overs for the rear , question is how much does the rear on a 70 coronet weight ,and what would be the best all around spring weight on the coilovers---->http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CEE-2765/ here's a link of the setup im looking at. good?

Have a look at this http://autoweldchassis.com/spec.ivnu scroll through and you'll find them for our car. Mine I did in 2x3x1/8" and trunk floor in flat sheet steel. If I had it to do over I'd use these mandrel bent frame rails. Your question is hard to answer without knowing desired ride hieght, tubbing and tire size. I'm not up on the wieght right now, I could probably look it up tommorrow.
 
From the look of it, your car doesn't weigh that much, lol!!! Check some of the hotrod shops on the net, they may have what your looking for as far as spring rate. Your car should weigh in around 34-3600lbs factory weight.
