I ordered the front spindles as well as all of the materials to make the upper and lower control arms. Still need to decide on manual or power steering and then order a rack.

will the 3.20 gears allow u to drive the 2 hours on the freeway not reving high, to get to the track and then pull an 8.25 then jump back on the freeway and go home comfortably

Yes, I also have a GV overdrive. Turbo engines love high load on the engine so no deep gears. This gear ratio combined with the overdrive should allow me to go low 8's at the track, run 200mph in the standing mile and cruise down the interstate at 80 with the A/C on like riding in mom's cadillac.

in the 1970 sattelite this pillar is here and rrs and birds dont have them , familar with this process and 86ing it

this is my victim that will resurrected as a bird it was born a six cyclinder 3 on the tree it will fly away an awsome bird of prey one day lol

That's just a coupe vs a hardtop. The RR could be had in a coupe with the pillar or a hardtop. Birds were all made from hardtops.

can i cut it out and put differnt glass in it to change it ,

600 ish to hp maybe im thinking injected fuel with a standard nothing major but bit i want it to look like a pure bird but on the inside be pro turing

Birdie, just a suggestion, why don't you start your own thread for your car!
Works better that way!

i know it was a question for hemirunner because he did so much metal work no further info needed actuall

I finished up the other back brace. It pulled due to the weld nearly 1/8". As much as I tried to plan for it, it just couldn't be helped. Next time, I'll make offset locators to position the tubes 1/8 forward of center so that they are straight once welded.

1/8" isn't much in the grand scheme of things, but I'll know it's there and it's not perfect. I welded up both ends and ground the welds flush. I laid in a hot root pass and a couple cap passes, so no need to leave the weld. I think it looks better too.

Next up will be the spring perches on the bottom, the anti-roll bar and shock tabs on top.

Lots of weld! Very hard to keep everything perfect with that much weld. But looks good.

I ordered and received my press brake attachment for my HF 20 ton press. I'll use this to form the 6x6 plates for attaching the cage to the unibody. I could have done them by the old heat and beat method, but I wanted something that looked a little better than that. This is another SWAG off road kit.

It'll be next weekend before I move the press over to my shop, so in the mean time, I dropped the auto and GV OD out of the green car and put it in this one to check the driveline angles. I've got 2.5 down for the engine/trans and 3 down for the rear axle, maybe 4 at ride height, so no more than 6.5. Should be very close to zero at full throttle.
