I got the valve covers back this weekend. More o-rings to eliminate gaskets. Now, if only I could get heads
They were milled for clearance. The bosses were originally there as those castings are used for dual plug applications as well. I milled them to eliminate any potential rocker clearance issues.Nice, did you have to mill the sparkplug bosses for clearance, or shaving weight?
It was pretty humid. I degreed a cam, checked piston to valve clearance and measured for pushrods on a stroker RB in the bed of a truck in the heat. Lots of sweating, lol.How was the heat down there yesterday?
Ridiculous but in a really good way.So these heads finally showed up... I couldn’t help doing a mock up of the top end.

Wait until you see it on the dyno. That’s gonna be ridiculous, lol.Ridiculous but in a really good way.
What kind of horsepower are you anticipating?Wait until you see it on the dyno. That’s gonna be ridiculous, lol.
I think these compressors are good for about 2,000 at the flywheel. We’ll see how close I can get. What kind of horsepower are you anticipating?
That is absolutely INSANE!!! If you can keep the heads on with those numbers, you are the MAN!!!I think these compressors are good for about 2,000 at the flywheel. We’ll see how close I can get.
It’ll be on C16 fuel so keeping the heads on shouldn’t be an issue. We’ll be lucky to make half that on 93 pump gas. That is absolutely INSANE!!! If you can keep the heads on with those numbers, you are the MAN!!!
With those small turbos on that 540 cube Hemi, it should look like this at 1600 ft/lbs or so...whats the torque curve look like ?
How much do you realistically think that you can put to the rear wheels? It’ll be on C16 fuel so keeping the heads on shouldn’t be an issue. We’ll be lucky to make half that on 93 pump gas.
Eventually all of it within the first 660ft...How much do you realistically think that you can put to the rear wheels?
So you hope to put 2000 plus HP to the pavement for 1/8th mile?!? WOW!!!Eventually all of it within the first 660ft...
