Hi,
I’ve been putting all new floor pans in my 70 RR. I’m using AMD pans.
There is a bracket welded on the right side for a muffler hanger directly in front of the rear axle but nothing on the left side for dual exhaust. I bought one from classic (in picture) but it’s a bolt on setup. My question is - was the factory left side bracket bolted or welded on? I don’t have the original pans to reference.
Thanks in advance.

I don't have a great picture, but my car (1970 Road Runner with factory 383, 4 speed and hemi suspension) has the bracket on both sides. My floor was never replaced, so this is original.
The passenger side is welded while the driver side bracket is bolted on.

Top of this picture has brackets.

Here is the driver's side. You can see the bolts.

Hope this helps.

dual exhaust cars have the bolt on bracket added on the line....... pretty sure it was done early on, maybe before the dip; I can investigate the two that are here and still in tact

All holes are put in the car body before any dip or paint happens.

There are 4 dimples in the factory floorpan where the left exhaust bracket goes.
Not sue if aftermarket has them or if in the correct placement.

I was told the bracket was bolted on after dip and is zinc plated with black phosphate nuts but would like to get confirmation on that.

There are no dimples in the AMD pan. I will just measure and make it like the right side.

Bolted on later due to the body also being used for small block single exhaust cars, and maybe even 6 cylinder cars.
