I'll hook you up with some photos this week. I am running a factory cast iron six pack intake and carbs and clearance is not an issue with a power bulge hood! Pictures coming, but for now I must get back to work!

Hey guys I'm in need of a little help and I hope this is the right place. I am running into some of the same issues as superbeegrandprix has. I have a 70 Super bee with a power bulge hood and like all of them I have seen mine is open to the elements (rain, fog, ect.). The car has the original HP 383 and dual horn air cleaner. I have recently found a partial set of scoops on ebay with the drains which I bought. I have been able to piece togeather the part numbers for everything but two pieces. The two part numbers I am missing are for the vertical plates that mount into the opening of the scoop with two screws each. I have an original Dodge repair manual and all it shows is the ram air hood set-up. Any help on part numbers an\or sources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Respectfully,
George

1970 power bulge hood p/n and photo

I believe that you may be looking for a set of these? #2998397 and #2998396 I believe they are called rain deflectors and they are held on by two bolts per deflector.

Here's one listed on eBay. I had a '70 Coronet years ago that was missing the parts. I cut two pieces of aluminum that I got from Home Depot and painted them satin black and bolted them in. I didn't know what was missing either at that time but didn't like the rain going stright through. They weren't perfect, but they did the job, and if I can recall that far back I bolted them in with two bolts, also. I made them long enough to clear the upper part of the 'bulge'.
