70 Tail stripe

Does anyone know the reason for the metal emblem on the right side raer instead of the stripe on the back?

The trim tag says its stripe delete ,but thought that was the side stripe they were referring to?

On 70 Roadrunners, if it had NO tail panel stripe, you got an extra "road runner" emblem + a standing road runner bird right next to it. If you got the tail panel emblem, it has "road runner" written into the stripe & you did not get the metal emblem, just the tail stripe & the same standing road runner bird.

No Ryme or reason to the stripe delete code on trim tag? Or is that the side stripe?

I'm not sure actually. I "suspect" there is a stripe delete code for BOTH the side stripe & the tail stripe (two codes I "guess"). I'm pretty sure you could order a side stripe + tail stripe delete, or tail strip + side stripe delete, or both stripes delete. I'm sure somebody else on this site knows better than I do.

You could get the tail section reflective white, reflective black, reflective gold or stripe delete (with extra "road runner" badges). The side "dust trail" stripe came in reflective gold only.

One thing I've never been sure about is this; Could you get a white tail stripe with the gold dust trail stripe OR do all cars that get the dust trail automatically get gold tail stripes? I "think" my car is coded for a white tail stripe + dust trail, but I haven't looked at my codes in several years.

My bird is an original paint TX9 car with no tail stripe, just the metal emblem.

Well the car came with a black tail stripe in the box but I’d have to take the metal emblem off to put it on not sure if I want to do that I do like the stripe but being striped delete with the emblem is kind of unique

Like I said in your other thread, you really have to start reading other peoples threads and participate here on FBBO. I've posted pics of that car a 100 times in either my Bee restoration thread, "what have you done with your Mopar" thread, or on it's own. I build airplanes, it's my "hobby that went to hell" that's been a business now for 26 years.

Agree with you a 100% reading other people's tread gives you perspective and orientation from were to start and were to go, from a to b, Justin Gtx, Daytona kid charger, Don charger, your super bee all great protect just to mention a few from the many great proyects here.

If I'm not mistaken, the trunk decal came when you ordered the hood blackout; they came as a pair. I think the dust trail was separate.

You could absolutely get dust trail with a different color rear. There is an original Plymouth commercial showing a Limelight 70 Road Runner with a dust trail and a black trunk decal.
