71 Charger SE build

Not an expert when it comes to bodywork

Yes I responded within the accident thread

Obviously, with all the hard work you put into this 1971 and all your knowledge

I would assume you know the guys / bodyshop that are going to do the work ?

Can I ask what you want them to do exactly for repair work , or what is the proper procedure with that rear quarter

How will the paint get handled - Do you blend or paint the whole passenger side of the car for paint match ?

How has Hagerty Insurance been with customer service

Peace and Thanx

Hard to believe that side marker survived without a scratch.

The shop is pretty well known for their work on older cars and has a great reputation. They will pull the dent and repair inside and out then blend the paint, clear and cut and buff.

Hagerty has been pretty quiet this week. I spoke to the liability adjuster on Tuesday but have not heard from the claim appraiser yet even though they were assigned Wednesday. The shop has dealt with them a lot and say they are the best out of all of the insurers to deal with.

I've been watching you build this beautiful Charger as I have a 71 se I will be restoring in the future, sucks to see it got damaged. Hope the repair is done well.

Dropping it off in the morning. Crossing my fingers it's done by Carlisle but not getting my hopes up at this point.

I was checking the lights and low and behold I had no running lights. Turn signals and brake lights work fine but no parking lights. When I disconnected the tail lights the fuse stopped blowing. Finally found the harness for the tail lights where it runs through the bumper bracket had worn threw the sharp edge and grounded out. Got it fixed.

Then I added a relay to make my AC blower motor crank on high speed!

After driving back from Carlisle in torrential rain the car needed a good scrubbing! Cleaned and got its first treatment of ceramic coat this morning.

I want to thank everyone that stopped in to see me at Carlisle and the complements were much appreciated! It was great tomeet you all! The car ran fantastic and the AC was nice and cold.
