Today I got the door interior black painted and got the door latches all in and adjusted. Latches cleaned up real nice with Evaporust so I just adjusted and lubed them up. New door VIN decal too.
Today I installed the quarter extensions and rear valance then pushed it outside so I could get some painting done. Too cold outside to paint. All the bumper brackets, k-member, and misc have a coat of semi gloss on them now.
Looks really good! The Power Bulge is awesome.
Rain put a dent in my painting today so I worked on the outside mirrors. The drivers side was loose so I spread the the holders and pulled the cables a bit to tighten them up and crimped them back down. New glass with DMT gaskets and installed. Also got one tail light bezel finished. PITA to mask off.

Progress. New fuel tank and NOS sender are installed. My ESPO springs showed up today so in went the rear axle. Spring are 6 leaf heavy duty stock height. Rear sway bar is back ordered so I have to wait on that. Also got a delivery from Tropher McGinnis.
She also got her stable mate back in the main garage today.
Great work! This is the fun part,assembly 101!
Rebuilt the wiper linkage and installed. Mated the engine and trans together and made a makeshift dolly and in they went.

Great work: I too love 71 SE's.
Kinda got side tracked with parts stash of E-Body stuff I picked up a few weeks ago. Finally got back to work on the car this weekend.
Front suspension coming together. Only part that's original is the lower control arms. Those are reinforced, QA1 uppers, Hellwig 1-1/4 sway bar, PST 1.03 torsion bars. 11-3/4" caliper adapters. Ordering the Blistens tomorrow now that they are no longer back ordered.

I can't wait to hear how the ride is with your new front end components.
I am looking forward to it. I did similar mods to my 72 Rallye and it was fun to drive, but this one is a step further.
Got the tail lights tested and assembled this evening.
Looking good T2R9. It ought to ride like a dream.
Rear bumper installed.
Working on getting the engine compartment stuff done before I install the front bumper. Brackets, pulley's, battery tray, AC compressor, and NOS PS pump.
