72 Charger front console rod mounting bracket -placement for welding ?

I am re-installing the bracket that previous owner had removed. I have lined it up using the previous weld marks. I expected the top would be level but it is leaning to the right significantly. Does that look correct to you guys?. It has a little bondo at the bottom - he may have dented it when removing the bracket, however the weld marks at the top front and bottom front clearly match the bracket.

Thanks for the photo. Comparing the angle of the T handle to that of the bracket top, it does appear that the bracket top does angle down to the right. I assume the T is level left to right.
