Hey,Gents..

Any leads on Publications geared more toward street/strip performance rebuilds on Torqueflites..? Or is that something already covered in the manuals that are out there?

Also any recommendations on which all inclusive kit to use? or is it better to piece one together..?

any help appreciated.

4 good quality frictions in the front clutch. 15 springs in the front clutch. 3.8 lever. Hard red lined KD band. 050"-.060" front clutch clearance. Minimize end play. Inner and outer springs in the front servo. Block the accumulator. Turbo Action manual valve body. You are now ready to run mid 10's in a 3500lb car for years with nothing but fluid and filter changes.

dvw, which springs do you use in the front servo, standard outer & lite inner? I tried lite inner alone like Turbo A recommended, lite inner w/standard outer and even standard inner & outer.

As a first time rebuilder I can't say enough good about Carl Munroe's book. Apparently Carl passed away a few years ago but he was associated with TSR Racing and they are a good source for a lot of the equipment and parts covered in the book.

Also, Doug (dvw) really knows 727s and is a great resource in addition to many others who have helped me.

I'm going to attempt to rebuild an old 727 I have laying around I figured I better read this book before I give it a shot.

Factory inner and outer, factory early small pin servo.

My trans guy echoed Doug when he built mine. Said at 500-600 horsepower, it would outlast me.

I've used many suppliers over the years. The Fram complete kit was very good. Good steels and seals & bushings. Had very good results with the Turbo Action red clutch discs and their "birch bark" bands. Many other top suppliers. I'm really happy with Cope products and their service.

Not sure of your complete application or your budget but read up on billet drums. They're not cheap. Some will call it overkill but they are safer.
