727 race type transmission

Mine is. You can make a nice cut using a hole saw for the 2 corners. then connect with a air saw or cut-off wheel. Then smooth it all out. This helps when the wrench slips.

Doug, my trans came from A&A with a cutout on the bottom, doesn’t seeem to be as deep as yours. Would you recommend opening it up a bit more?

Depends on your oil pan. Mine kicks out at the rear. Easy to do. When in doubt, wack it out.

thanks.. I will be notching mine in the near future...that pan looks a lot like my charlies oil pan for my '63..
