727 shift points....

I cranked up the pressure on mine today and I think it is fine now. Looked up the intel on that spring the factory sets it at 1 5/16 long, I cranked mine in to 1 5/32, about 4 turns. Need to cut a 3/16 hex down to get in there

not sure how much pressure you added it might be fine. too much pressure on a worn tranny could blow past the seals. I think a shift kit adds pressure but covers some holes and leaves out a steel ball.
 
According to the info I found, one turn equals 1 2/3 psi, so 4 turns is about 6 1/2 psi.
