I'm changing the transmission pan gasket and speedometer seals in hopes of stopping leaks.

I bought the pan filter kit from advanced auto but the new filter is larger and only has 1 large hole as opposed to the old one which has 2.

Will this work?

Thanks....Ken

It was rebuilt over 15 years ago but has less than 50 miles on that rebuild. I hope they used the correct year rebuild kit! I've got some homework to do. Thanks for the information.

I'd suggest you check your part numbers on the pan rail, and VIN on the passengers side, to verify "what" trans you have? Could have been replaced in its lifetime.

My 2¢

Physically impossible to use the wrong rebuild kit. Unless they just used the old seals that are different.

The different kits are 62-70 and 71 and up.

VIN is PK3681054 4308 4932 May 14th 73. I guess the old filter was wrong.

Thanks for everyones help.
