I disagree.
Treat your fellow users here with respect.
Not saying to be disrespectful. The forum specifically says not to be derogatory, put down/insult what they are thinking, tell the poster it's too much money, etc.
It says nothing at all about posting factual information about the vehicle.
I have found great info about known flippers gouging their fellow enthusiasts on sales boards, there can be a helpful purpose to it. Whether it's an individual or a dealer.
(not saying that is the case here at all, just saying in general- I see nothing at all wrong with the price, condition, etc. It's a good looking car)
I have also gotten good info like,
"I saw this car for sale at a show for 8K in non running condition needing floorboards and trunk pan, in the shape it's in now at 13K it's a great deal"
I am pretty sure the sales forum is intended as a way for hobbyists to find and sell cars, and be honest. I don't think it was set up to be a safe haven for flippers not to get the dime dropped on them. (and by flipper I don't mean guys making a profit for their work, efforts, increases in price from market value, etc. You know exactly what I mean)
If I am completely incorrect with interpretation, based on my offered objective opinion, and the sale forum moderator corrects me, I will comply.
So, the sales forum is either:
use manners, don't be insulting, but you can offer facts that are helpful to other members (the car is not as described, the electricals are not all working, there is a ton of bondo they are not disclosing, the paint is way better than the pictures, he paid 5k to a senile old man for it after promising to restore it for his dying son and keep it forever last week, etc.)
or it is:
Buyer Beware-
known issues with the car or seller cannot be disclosed
again,
I was looking at the car, saw a ton of posts regarding a price disclosure,
and rendered the objective opinion as I am not buying the Barracuda or selling it.
and am not commenting on the car at all. but I have bought a car off this forum.
Just in general saying posting a previous price can be tacky is some cases, and not really called for,
but that a price disclosure or other info can be doing us buying a big favor sometimes.
