My take on this...whatever the previous owner sold it for was his deal and it's beetween him and the buyer to come to an agreeable price for both.
If the new owner is buying the car to resell, and I'm not saying that he is,he's the one taking the risk to lay out his money to take a chance at making a profit which is tough to do in this economy.
Besides,it's an asking price and these days everybody wants a deal so the new owner is smart to leave himself some room to negotiate.
My 2c on it,FWIW.
BTW it looks like a really nice car and one I'd be proud to own.
thank you i wasnt sure about them when i bought them but they are growing on me lol i lowered the front a little more since these pictures were taken looks better in the front now to mw
Oh man. I love it!! sure wish I had the extra cash to throw in with my 63 savoy.. Ex border patrol car 2 door post. original 383 auto, now has 413 4 speed.. in progress.
do you have any more pictures of it? do i see a roll bar in it? tell me some more about it do you have some parts you could throw in to? we might be able to work something out you never know
I am the 3 rd owner. I bought it from the guy who got it from the goverment. The guys at the Mopar restoration shop tell me its a fairly rare car. It has a certified speedometer and a radio delete plate. It also has a few pieces of stainless trim that no other 63s had. You can see it behind the quarter window. I believe the top half of the car was white at one time and that trim was the divider. I have had it for 21 years. Back when I was 20 I turned it into mostly a drag car. Added sub frame connectors and the roll cage. It has a 8 point art morrison cage. I ordered the rear bars to be bent so the go through the speaker holes in the package tray. I also put the 4 speed in at that time. I found a 64 with the pedals in it and they bolted right in my car. It is currently being put back to a driver. It still has the aluminum fuel cell in the trunk but I am trying to get everything else back in it like the heater etc.. It rides on superstock springs and a later model 8 3/4. 23 spline 4 speed with scattershield hays street and strip clutch. The 413 is fairly mild its a flat top stock bottom with a hyd 305* .525" comp cam, M1 intake and a 850 dp. As far as the body its not to bad it has some rust in the rear wheel well lip and thats about it. its really solid. Inside its a rubber floor mat car. It had a 60 40 bench but I took that out and fabbed some max wedge style brackets and put A100 seats in it. I still have the stock seats but they will need restoring.
Funny that shoe polish is about 12 years old.. lol
