If you can actually get a valid title for $900....

DO IT.

Not to be ignorant, but how do you just buy a title?
Nope nothing ignorant about . VIN plate and someone who owns a car that is not fixable that wants too sell plate and paperwork ect . Bought and sold several over years like that . Figured I would check too see if anyone out there would have . Hope all is well .

What service can get a title for $900?

I'd sure like to know.

Sell it to me or someone else in New Hampshire and we can get a title for it and then we can sell it back to you, we will need the car here for a vin verification though. :p

Broadway title . $895 and they run paper work and send you title . Went through them 20 years ago when it was $300 .

Not sure what state you live in.
I would say to start with your county treasures office.
Most have a web sight or in person information on how to get a bonded title for older cars.
Yes it is a process but in the end you have a legal title.
Swapping vin tags ect never ends well.
Someone on down the line gets in trouble.
