Thought I would shre some pictures of my old 74 Charger.

It was a odd one.
400, 4bbl. Single exhuast
727, slap stick shifter
Cruise control, A/C, Power steering and Power disc brakes

It was a plane Charger, Not a Rallye or SE.

Pretty conservative driving. Off the gas LONG before the brake markers

Yep, pretty conservative. It is just a leisurly ride in a two ton, 32 year old, hemi powered superspeedway car on antiquated Hurst/Airheart disc brakes. And I am sure that it's not the rev limiter your hearing at the top end of the straights. But, you're right, a true professional race driver would rather pick on others techniques instead of enjoying the video for the fun that it is.

I'm sure those brakes were worlds better than the factory brakes I had to run on my Porsche when I ran Riverside International.

Course...it wasn't Hemi powered or weigh 4000 pounds either.

but it's all relative I guess

Yep, you're a better driver than I. I had a friend let me run his solo II 911, I could never keep the back of that bastard where it belonged. I swear I went thru half the course backwards. Sure was fun.....

Yep. 911's are like that. You lift, you die. And I never said I was a better driver. I was insane. I don't think there was a person alive that would drive into a corner deeper than I would. If you were gonna pass me, it was gonna have to be on a straight. Cause you weren't takin me in a turn. And the more my brakes faded, the faster my laps would be. That's when you have to be good. At the time I had no fear. It was an acceptable level of risk, cause it was what I wanted to do at the time.

No problem. At least you guys didnt make fun of my Camaro in the back ground.

I wasn't going to make fun of the Camaro, I figured you got a free bowl of soup with it and you were down on you luck and hungry.
