Are the brake drums for an 8.75 rear the same as for an 8.25 rear? I found a guy selling a 67 C-body 8.75, but it is complete except for the drums, and I was wondering if the 8.25 drums off my 74 Road Runner would work.

The main difference is the diameter and the width of the shoe. As long as the break shoe for the 8 3/4 axle and the 8 1/4 axle are the same width, you will be fine.

You should be able to bolt on the backing plates and all hardware from your RR to the 8 3/4 with no problems.

i would guess no
as said above,
the width of the shoes/drum will determine if it will work out or not.
alot of c bodies will use a 11x3 drum, some earlier ones used the 11x2 drum
the b bodies will use a 11x 2 1/2 drum or a smaller 10.5 drum
the common drum sizes are
10.5 x 2 1/2
11 x 2
11x2 1/2
11x3
the backing plates are also specifc to the width of the shoes/drum,
so there are 4 different size backing plates it could be.
so your 74 runner drums might not work out for you.
they need to match the c body shoe/backing plate width
you might need to find the right width drums for it to match the c body backing plates/shoe size.
it really all depends on the shoe/drum/backing plate size.
they all neeed to match up.
so check the width and go from there..
