9.26 time slip posted

In my case I think Wallace is a little optimistic for the ET. Their MPH is a touch low. My actual back half numbers exceed the Wallace estimate. That being said I have no dyno numbers. Only weight and time slips. When running index I know 5.86-5.87/660, 7.69-7.70/1000ft is almost always 9.25 +/-.005. Wallace says 5.87/660, 7.70/1000 is a 9.28-9.29

My time 9.265 slip splits are very, very similar to your posting above.
My 660 is 5.895 Yours is 5.86/5.87
My 1000 is 7.706 Yours is 7.69/7.70
My 1320 is 9.265 Yours is 9.25 +/-.005

My mph is only 143.14 Your typical 9.25 ET is what MPH ?? ______________

so really your not far off Mike. I would've thought that with a Hemi that normally charges@top end especially with 2xcarbs and a bit off the 60ft you would've been in the 146>7 mph as dvw mentioned.
All our 8.90 mopar wedge cars run 149>150mph, with single 4's but were are@sea level, and we have a 540 wedge '68 Cuda in the 70's@153 on alky.
Wallace doesn't work well for S/SS cars that 60 exceptionally well.

Right about 145. To achieve 9.25 I'm either adding weight, closing the carbs down or a combo of both. Depends on the correction factor. When the air/track is real good its been as slow as 143.5 (makes the ET early). With good air its all I can do to slow it down. Carbs at 75% and close to 200lbs ballast. Sometimes timing back to 28 total as well. In 4500ft DA it'll go about 9.20 flat out. The 9.00 runs were 1200ft DA

Thanks for the info.
I now have ONLY 12 TOTAL runs on the car. Still getting things sorted out. All the info I can get is what I need to improve things.
I have been talking with the Tech guy at Chris Alston Chassis ( my car has Alston backhalf with their ladder bars and Single Adjustable Vari-Shocks ) and he has given me lots of good advice to get my car to hook better. He knows it is a real challenge to get a car sorted out that makes 1000+HP.
With help and advice from fellow racers on this site either by their direct postings, by PM messaging or by telephone calls I hope to get it all figured out.
