A cool old boat

:D

That is something that I wondered about but never asked....why most (If not all) boats are right hand drive.

Many tips can be learned here....

Oh yea for sure! I just laugh at the overall thought of saying boats are a money holes yet owning two or 3 Mopars is cost effective haha! That's what gets me laughing. :D:D What makes an outboard much better if ya don't mind me asking? Always wondered and figured it was personal preference. I was always figuring a 350 chevy can be simpler parts wise than the motor being vertical and requiring marine specific parts all the time. I am ignorant when it comes to the boat specific outboard stuff but am fluent in mechanical stuff and boating in general. Less mechanical parts and more access to everything?
My Uncles always had boats with Chevy 6 cylinder inboard motors
My one uncle could repair anything that ever went wrong with them

But a lot of dough for something that needs a fair amount of work...

cool appearing boat, 392cid Hemi
lots of them up in the Tahoe basin
$76, 069+, that is a big winning bid price
but;
I haven't followed the prices much, everything up there is pricey too
I use to go to the regatta every year, in South Shore Stateline
just before Hot August Nights (was the week before)
spend the week prior in Incline Village
it is sort of the hoidy toidy crowd, lots to look at
& to see them out where they were meant to be used

wood boats are really nice to look at, they are heavy too
they are a lot of work if they aren't kept up too

:rofl::rofl: ...I think every boat I have ever seen here is. :D
or center steer or a center helm etc.
depends on the boat, style & manufacturers
most all the smaller boats are right-hand helm/controls,
I think it was originally because of docking or something
it just stuck, boat people, don't like a lot of change
sort of like old car folks

I do like IO's & velvet/V-drives
but all I have now is my Granddads boat, I got a looong time ago

my little 1977 Glasspar 16 Bowrider tri-hull 90hp Merc Outboard
is RH helm/steer/controls too

:D 2 great days in a boat owners life
the day you buy & the day you sell :poke:
I've had a few nicer boats, mostly ski or pleasure type boats
that I would still use to go fishing

shitty photo, not showing much
my dad loves that POS, great for the lakes up here or the delta
big water & big breakers, big lakes, it'd be a handful
I've kept it so long because it was my Granddad's boat,
lots of memories with me dad & Granddad in that little boat
