A little nostalgia watching Barrett Jackson last night

A 61 Olds was on the block last night. Someone (think it was Mike Joy?)commented on the pot metal dealer plaque on the back of the car. RENNER/WAUWATOSA -My uncle/godfather was the carb and tune specialist there FOREVER. Gave me a little grin. Renner was all Olds till they weren't. Then they were MITSUBISHI for awhile.... they are gone now.

Very cool memory. I remember the dealership too.

I attended an Olds show last year in Appleton WI. (with my '66 Toronado). It was sponsored by the Wisconsin Oldsmobile chapter. At one point the announcer called out on the PA whoever is new to the show and not a member come up for a door prize. I walked up and he gave out a NOS one-foot wooden ruler and was stamped with the names of the eleven Oldsmobile dealers of the Milwaukee area. One of them was "Renner".

I DVR them & watch...

I like it's a no (or near none) reserve sales
everything (well near 99.9%) that goes over the block sells

no shading 'favoritism' shown deals, with one consigner/buyers
but not the others, that have to pay full 10% fees/prices (like Mecum)

some nice cars, some cars I scratch my head about too

no, it shows Amato, Arrow, Doucas, Gentile, Kuettner, Lakeland, Renner, Riebe, Ruby, Sindic and Stark.

Amato is the only one left out of that list. They are a Hyundai dealer now.
