A theory on pulling front drum brakes - I need some schooling!

I didn’t read all of the posts, or referenced discussions, but if it was mine, I would replace the front hoses, even if they are new, if you have not tried that yet.

Thanks. That was done with new in box (but older) Eis hoses. Good stuff.
 
So, you have already tried a second set of new hoses?
I haven't tried a second set of anything I've replaced with new parts - and as I've previously stated, the next step
in the plan is the master cylinder, since the pedal has developed a nasty habit of falling out from under my foot
with brakes applied.
The master cylinder was "inherited" and new/installed when I got Fred. We've bled the system until I was blue in
the face...
Telltale pressure loss under application, along with fluid appearing on the inside of the firewall, say it's time to
replace the MC - or tear it all out and go disc swap.
 
Fluid on the inside of the firewall is another pretty telling sign of MC failure.
