A100 value?

Yes, everyone loves the Little Red Wagon; it's probably on of the most iconic Mopar's of all time.
Try telling that to a couple of wankers in our local car club...they didn't think it fitted the criteria for an indoor car show a few years ago.....and yet a f'ed up fox body Pusstang was OK. :jackoff: ...along with all those ugly plastic cars from the GM family.

My opinion is after a quick look - take a good hard look at what you want, then take a serious look at the condition. Those things are hard work if the body is rough - there are NO parts for those trucks - If the steering is loose, you have about a 5% chance of getting it right, you can buy the basics like brake drums, steering parts (tie rods, drag link and King pin sets) but most other parts are long gone. be prepared for some serious fabrication ....or find a donor vehicle.

Buy the BEST possible example you can find - it will save you in the long run. I spent about 6 months searching to find mine, and I got a little lucky with parts and stuff....but rest assured, it ain't easy. But the end result can be very cool. :)

here's a couple of shots of mine...

Are you kidding? I think those things are cool as a cucumber! If you don't know it, check out the "Little Red Wagon". It was an A-100 with hemi engine that was one of the most famous wheel standers of all time! Ask KiwiGTX here on the forum, he's got one. I don't know the asking price but if it's not rotted out or cost a fortune, I say go for it!
Thanks mate...I appreciate the heads-up.

I found this pretty quick
http://dodgea100.com/

disclaimer;

I don't know anything about the site, just found it on a quick Bing Search

parts & sales etc.
a forum too

64 A-100 lowered orange.jpg

all over the map as to price value
saw one listed for $750, it was an old add thou
less than $5k for a decent one running driving
seen quite a few modified versions & V8 conversions for $10k+
condition obviously dictates the price

IMO I'd try to find one as complete as possible
so hard to find parts won't be as big of a deal
you have something to restore that way at-least,
not having to search for every little part etc.

I'd like to build one, if I had room
one of the many things, I'd like to build

you may have to look farther away
but they are out there

Sitting on to of the front wheels combined with the steering wheel position has got to be like driving a bus....just with a better turning radius.

Most vehicles say they can stop on a dime. These thing turn around on a dime and give you 6 cents change! My 94 caravan, I need twice the radius.

That' a van with the upper section cut off and moved forward.

Good catch! I was sitting here looking at those pictures wondering why there were swing out doors on the one side of that "Truck". Guess it didn't click until you said that.

I DO think those are cool though. One of the recent Graveyard Cars episodes showed the one they are building off the Little Red Wagon concept

One of the Mopar guys near me used to have an "all door" model- doors on right, rear, and left, and it had quad square headlights added!

Yeah, I found that one later. Then I was like, whoa, not what I was expecting for an asking price of $2,500 (A100 van with top chopped off). This little A100 turned from interesting low-budget hot rod to absolute travesty. Even at $2,500 I was expecting a realistic cash price of $1,500; that being for a real A100 truck in this condition (which is probably much worse than shown). That's why I was getting a feeler on how much they actually go for.

You can undo the leather straps on the front doors and swing them wide open for easy access to install or remove the engine.

Mine were old worn old seat belt material, which is how they left the factory.
Same....but I had my Upholstery guy make some out of a modern seat-belt also.

Hey Kiwi, what engine do you have in your A100? That is possibly THE finest example that I have ever seen. Congrats!!
SBC 360 (smallblock Chrysler)

Been thinking about giving it a little pep-up some time....just thinking fer now. :D

I LOVE that truck. If you don't mind, can you post some pics of the engine. Can you adjust your carb on the fly?

A/C is now connected up and runs great....wasn't hooked up at the time of this photo shoot....

I came up with this idea about 6 months before Foose did this to an A100 on his Overhaulin' show....
