Guys I am contemplating adding the a sway bar in the future and I am now in the process of rebuilding my front suspension. My current Lower Control Arms do NOT HAVE THE SWAY BAR BRACKET/tab.

Do they make the brackets that I can weld on? If so what about locating them for the correct placement and geometry?

Thoughts?

Thanks MF

So the guy you called fart is telling you to check out Summit racing as they sell a weld on tab for your lower control arm unless you want to swap the arm and bushing and enjoy the extra work?:)

Ok so they are available and this is the time to put them on since I will be refreshing the LCA.
How do I locate them?

This is the best I can find regarding installing one of these. Hope it helps others. Gets me a little further along but not quite all the way in locating. Seems like Bergman and Hotchkis should have some sort of drawing. I’ll call them to see or just order them and see if they come with drawings.

I would mount the sway bar and see where the end links connect straight up before doing any final welding. I have a pair off my 70 RR I can get a measurement of but it will be tomorrow night before I have a chance.

@Moparfiend some measurements for you.

Ball Joint center to end link center 6-1/2"
Ball Joint center to bracket edge 4-15/16" Note it is also butted up to the rivet.
Bottom edge flat to top of bracket 3-9/16"

Make sure which type of bar your installing.. this is the wide/ old type that goes in front of the kmember. Or are you using the one that goes through the k member..
