Adding Sway Bar Tab to Lower Control Arm

So there apparently are two different types of sway bars, the stock type and the aftermarket type. And they do not use the same mounting on the lower control arm? I guess this is a bit more confusing than just one type.
Many after market bars are direct replacements for a factory bar. Firm Feel, Hochkis, and Hellwig are examples.

The newer style kmember has bends to allow for the bar iirc, I'm more of the old shool guy with the bar in front

? New style k member ?
70 up. If your car has the correct k member, you should be able to use either. If it has the old one, the sway bar would have to go out front and use the tabs I showed.

Look at your K-Frame. It should be hollow where you would normally jack it up. It will also have notches where the sway bar passes under as circled in the pic below. You can see the lower control arm and tabs as well. Second pic is a Hellwig bar installed in the factory location.
