I would run either Isky, Crane or the factory Max Wedge style iron rockers. For the price they are very good.

I ran the 'old' Isky 1604 rockers with a .660 lift roller cam and they stayed put but a buddy ran the same rockers with a .610 solid lifter cam and they wouldn't stay put.....go figure.

rockers

what size of rockers
1.5
or
1.6?
how about push rods ?
thanks for the help

I'd run 1.5 rockers and a quality 3/8" chrome moly push rod.

You know, I have a set of Cranes I bought brand new on my mild 440 (.455" lift hyd cam) and I couldn't drive it 20 miles without having several adjusters come loose. I believe the problem is with the hardened adjuster screw and not being able to put enough torque on it to stretch the bolt properly. I put nylon lock nuts and gorilla torqued them on and finally they stayed put, but that was probably due to the deformation of the softer nut. Years ago I ran the Max Wedge rockers and never had a problem but I think the adjusters were not made of that super martensitic grade 14 Rockwell 62C kryptonite!!
