After a 20 year nap, 69 Sport Satellite breathes again.

Well, we coaxed her onto the stretcher so she can be taken for some much needed attention.
She's been in the family since birth (hers and mine), a true survivor.
I had to park her due the the window corners leaking, and there she sat, resting.
Now its time for her to be rewarded for her many years of service.
She's a bone stock, 1969 318/904 Sport Satellite, A/C, P/S, P/B w/11" drums up front, buckets w/buddy seat, all black interior, 26" radiator.
A12 clone? GTX Tribute? Hell no. She's a Sport Satellite and damn proud of it.

Anyone have a roof available on the west coast? It's UGLY under that vinyl top.

Nothing wrong with a sport satellite or the 318/904 combo. Love it for what it is! We have one here too and it is staying a sport satellite!

I love using the word "resurrected" instead of "restored" on a lot of these cars, including mine.
These beasts don't undergo $75K 100 point restorations, they are literally brought back from the dead - resurrected.

Do you realize the pain you cause us in the freezing cold, rust belt when you post pics of cars that have the lower portions of their sheetmetal, sitting outside, being WORKED on outside, and be able to have equipment and parts sitting outside, IN FEBRUARY !!!!!!!! Couldn't you find any bikini girls to lean on the fenders, so you could give the knife a little twist ???

Great points! Sorry fellas, these 2 cars aren't being restored. They are just getting some much needed attention. The 68 GTX if first in line for restoration.

Rust? What's that? Is that the little bubbly area under the paint in A COUPLE of places? Yeah, we've got a little of that here and there.

We've got great weather but horrible politicians here, and since I see the weather more than the politicians, I'll stick it out for a while longer. Paying 10% sales tax SUX though.

Well...after 20 years she starts as easy as she always did, idles smooth and sounds great.
It was surreal driving her after that long. It's been a long time since I felt a skinny steering wheel in these hands. I never thought about how wheels are all fat now, but it was highly noticeable driving her.
Problem now is a fuel issue, she dies under load. Thinking it's either a fuel pick-up problem or float. I'm puzzled why the fuel filter has air in it. Shouldn't it fill with fuel?
Soon I'll be looking for a 69 roof skin in the LA area , if someone has one let me know. Maybe AMD if nothing is available.

I had a 68 Sport Satellite station wagon a few years back. I tried to sell it but nobody stepped up. I ended up parting it out.
