Is there any difference between the quality or function of the 2 popular brands of aftermarket A/C kits Classic Air and Vintage Air?
Has anyone had good or bad experiences to share?

Classic Auto Air here. Ice cold for ten years. The best R134, never a recharge. Newer units have better control box. Mine uses the old cables. Friend has Vintage in his 70'Cuda. Nice, cold, and great distribution too.

I installed a Vintage Air system in mine, love it.... 35 degrees coming out of the vents. Servo motor actuated doors means simple plug in wires, no cables or vacuum lines.

The only thing I did not like with the Vintage Air kit was the wiring is set as single wires plugged into a switch. I could not get a connector to help prevent mistakes after unplugging. I do not know about the Classic kit.

Agreed, forgot about that but that is ignorant IMO. A simple connector grouping the wires together would have been a big plus when your working in tight spots.

I have the old classic kit with cables. I didn't like the add on pulley so found a factory ac pulley set up. I also didn't like the hose routings so changed those too. Other than that good so far. Pictures on my thread.
