Aftermarket Gauges, Not!

I prefer aftermarket, course I just like knowing what going on with my power train, temps and air fuel and psi, factory is nice don't get me wrong but most only have idiot lights and by the time those come on it's too late, with most aftermarket you can set which ever low psi or temp you want to shut it down if nessisary before its to late. Just my .02

Well, I'm rebuilding my instrument panel right now, and since the ammeter was fried, I put in a volt meter. The volt meter face did not match the rest of my rallye gauges, so I made up my own face and ran it through the laser printer on decal paper. This is going onto the face of the old ammeter - it's a waterslide decal and looks pretty good so far.

Factory gauges were designed to be the cheapest thing that got the approval of the bean counters (which is why you didn't see them in many cars). Aftermarket gauges were designed to be accurate.

Im sure some people wont like my gauge panel I built & the aftermarket gauges, but then again Im only trying to satisfy myself.

A gauge without numbers is like a speedometer with just "SLOW" "OK" "TOO FAST" written on its face.
