Looking for a top quality aftermarket radiator that will bolt in place of my stock one for my 1968 charger. Wouldnt mind using the stock fan n shroud if possible. The engine is a built 440 pushing 475 plus horsepower. Im not against the aluminum rad and electric fan idea either. Thanks

I have the griffen dominator series cross flow radiator in my 72 satellite with twin 12" electric fans. Decent price and a direct bolt in, purchased it through summit racing

I have the cheap champion now, but have plans to get the OER desert cooler one day. Aluminum bit built to look factory. Classic Industry is selling them around $300

Dont know whats the best brand, just check size,, my dad put a aluminum one in bout 10 years ago, and them dam ugly flex hoses (with the wrinkle one) I done some up grades and got new formed hose, and clutch fan,,, well the clutch was to close, got the 91 jag clutch,, fixed that trouble, as for the nice new formed hose , dont fit at all , the radiator is a little wider,, guess i know now why dad had ugly hoses on her,,I went to parts store guy said I could go to the back and look and see if I could match up somthing,,, didnt have a lot of time, but walked back and looked, they had 10k damn hoses , didnt find 8ne , when I get time im going back,

I noticed on the U.S. Radiator site they have 22" and 26". Do i have to do any modifications to the core support to put in the 26" or was that a factory size. Thanks guys

Did you ever get a new rad? I have had great success with my new 22" 2 row 1.25" tube aluminum Griffin. It cools great even with my 451 big block. If you run a 2 row with the large surface area 1.25" tubes you don't need to go up to a 26" rad size

26" Ma Mopar Copper. Thermal. Shroud. Beyond adequate cooling under all conditions for me. 180 Stant super-stat with green conventional coolant.

Just be aware if you do get an aftermarket rad there is a chance the original fan shroud won't fit correctly.

Mine never had a shroud since I acquired the car in 2010. I now have a 22" "Exact Fit" aftermarket Griffin which cools great, but I'd still like a shroud. They construct this rad with flanges on each side and 4 tapped shroud mounting holes, but Griffin does not offer shrouds due to fan location differences. I have tried 3 factory replacement shrouds for 22" rads and none have fit. I guess I have to make a custom one.

Shroud mounting holes on my rad are approximately 13-11/16" x a hair under 22" with 2" fan offset away from driver's side.
