I picked up my 74 Roadrunner at the paint & body guys yesterday, and it looked awesome in all that lustrous black paint. My son and his girlfriend drove me over to get it in her car, then followed me home.

As we were headed down the highway, my son's girlfriend calls me up and she's laughing. I asked what's so funny, and she asks if I've been seeing how everyone's driving, and I said I was focused on enjoying the car and little else. Then she tells me that every dude who comes up hits the brakes, slows down, stares at the car, then slowly drives past while looking at the roadrunner the whole time. She thought I was about to get hit a couple of times when guys started veering over too far because they weren't watching the road. I started watching the cars coming up behind us and she was right. They would come streaming along, slow down, and then come slowly by.

I called her back and told her maybe this is a great way for girls to get guys to notice them more. Ditch the chick Cougars and VWs and start driving old Mopars.

That's funny Bruzilla, one of my 5 sisters, the middle sister Candy, use to love to drive my 68 Charger R/T every once in a while, when we were much younger, she said she met a ton of guys always when she drove any of my cars, she was happily married with 2 children at the time, but said it was a great ego boost anyway, no wonder she liked driving any of my old Muscle Cars or Hot Rods........Bruzilla we need some Photos of the newly freshly painted BLACK BEAST, in all her glorious beauty...

Now, if you have a method to determine if they are "Steeler Fans" your all set!
You DO know I'm a Pats fan, you know...the Patriots?

It doesn't take a lot of skill to identify Steelers fans down here. Seems like about one vehicle out of three has a Steelers, Penguins, or Pirates sticker, decal, license plate frame, or terrible towel showing on it somewhere. That's the biggest beef from the Jags fans down here.

We've approached the state to get an official Steelers Nation license plate made up, but even though we can show a commitment of over 2,000 tags, which is 500 more than we need, they won't approve the tag because they don't want to upset the Jaguars, Dolphins, and Buccaneers. This seems like crap to us because the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs are huge rivals, but folks in GA can get GA tags with the Gators logo on them.

A great feeling, but a scary one too. Last summer my wife and I took our bird out on the highway and a guy pulled up next to us and started taking cell phone pix of the car!

So I showed him how fast an old Mopar could accelerate away from dangerous car-loving morons. :headbang:

I get that a lot when driving my heaps. People just love seeing the good 'ol days of cars rolling by. Still doesn't do me any good because most young women in CA would rather see a guy driving a pre-*** - seems like anyway.

It truly makes all the money, time and work to hear it, Even delivery guys/gals it brings up conversations and i was surprised at two hear the next time they showed up brought pictures of there rides...No Mopars though!
