AH, Kids these days

yeah i don't know what the hells wrong with most kids today... I'm 19 and i had to stop and explain the function of what a carburetor does while giving a speech/ debate ( on why classic cars are a better car then todays)to some of my college classmates in school lol

I have had that conversation with rice drivers too, all i get is a "HUH, dont get it, seems really complicated"

Complicated???? Just look at all that crud under the hood of the Honda your driving.

this is funny ! last year i was backing my car off the trailer after some 1/4 mile fun , my neighbors daughter came up to me with her mom(maybe 6 years old) and said "man, that cares makes my heart shake " ! thought was was cool as hell, and cute !

HAHA, cute, I bought the Coronet right before Christmas, and drove it to my parents house on Christmas day. My neice is 7, and i drove up and parked in the driveway, she was outside, and ran in the house with us and told my parents, "Grandma, theres a green monster in the driveway".

Oh crap , thats funny !! green monster :rolling:

Last summer I had my 12 year old daughter riding in my Charger to the 100 ft street drags they did during the fair in Castle Rock. Gave it some gas in short bursts while driving into town and had her scared to death.

By the end of the event, and the drive home, she was over being scared and was wanting me to floor it and see what it would do. I have high hopes for her...

Sound like she learning really quick, ........but don't forget, ..............you will be buying her a car and paying her insurance in a few more years.

my son is 2, and i make him wear ear muffs when he rides in my car.. i think after the 1st week of ownership he was over the "fear" ! now everytime he goes in the garage he says " daddys car, daddys car ! " its awsome, i dont think i will have a problem getting him to help me wrench away in a few years !! gotta start 'em young ! ... plus he thinks he's 20 when he's riding in it, hanging his hand out of the window, and giving people thumbs up !!

This thread made me laugh I'm 18 and i have only had my 69' Satellite 3 days now and the first night i got it home and my friend came up and said dam that's a beast is it a mustang? Uh if you say so... Then yesterday i had some friends where i work come out and asked the same question... Is that a mustang!!! My dad was with me and said are you kidding you ever seen a mustang this big and have Plymouth decals on it? When people think of a muscle car is mustang the only one in all these kids heads????

So if How fast you gone is Stupid question, then how long did it take you to get nerve enough to get out of first gear with Daddy's car?

Dude, it's my car, I fixed it up, I payed for parts, I know it inside and out. Where do you get the notion that it's my dads car? I mean honestly I get enough of that at school, I don't need somebody who is old enough to know that that was a pretty immature comment

Yo Dude! Chill... For someone who claims to be tired of the "high school drama", you sure seem to bring a lot of it. I'm glad you did the work on your car yourself and all, but you really need to be thicker skinned, or else you will keep inviting people to take these digs at you.

How about getting back to posting something car-related instead of getting all offended on what other people are saying? You kind of started all of this yourself on another thread. Are you old enough or mature enough to stop it? :eek:hthedrama:

I agree with 72 Charger,I think it's great that you and your dad restored your car. But you have to understand sometimes this place is a stress relieve. Better to act up here than take it out on a family member or go out and drink and drive and get into a wreck and kill someone..

That is the reason we rant, act up with joking and pulling pranks.Life is hard enough as is and harder for some than others. We are all here to have fun, learn and have a good time doing it. You will get use to all the action here. Just be tolerant to others and we don't lash out without reason.

Some of it isn't as bad, I had my Charger out in May of last year and there were some contractors working on a new shed so... one of 'em has his son with him, and he looks up and tells the young lad of 5 or 6 "Look! Is that the car from Ben 10? Is that the car Kevin 11 drives?" Really? come on!

1. "Kevin Eleven" car ---2. My car

a 1969 Charger NEVER looks like this:
