Heading to a Mopar swap meet this weekend.
Using Nick’s site my best guess is 1974 400-440. Sound correct? And what is it worth.
Thanks.

They are a tough sell. That one seems in nice condition but missing the Osac valve. I would say if you can get $150-175 you did really good but tough to find that buyer who is dumping money into a '74 BB and keeping it stock.. Good luck with sale!

I'd just clean it up and put in on the wall,, especially if it's the one for the car :popcorn2:

Edit; the cars a 68?

Thanks for the info on it. Looks like about a 3-4 hr drive. Have to see if anyone here might be interested in a road trip ?

It’s worth $300-$500. Look at E bay. They aren’t giving them away. $200 shown above was 5 years ago. I would hang on to it if you ever plan on reusing it.

Can you show me ONE that actually sold for ANYWHERE near that money? The ones on ebay have been there for over 7 months and NOT ONE shown as sold when searching sold listings. What's on there is 2 starting at $324.95 Best Offer and 5% off Last updated on Jul 31, 2024 and one at $294.99 5% off Last updated on Jul 31, 2024 and one at $399.99 Last updated on Jun 03, 2024. They simply don't sell for ANYWHERE near that money otherwise those would have been bought up already on the largest used car parts forum in the world.

Can you show me one anywhere that is listed cheaper? Can you show me one anywhere recently that has sold cheaper? Supply and demand. If I needed one I would end up paying whatever asking prices were as choices are limited, ie no supply.

It’s WORTH what someone will pay and the $300-500 price isn’t it as seen by EBay. People can LIST/ASK whatever they want and doesn’t mean it’s actually is worth that. The fact is you can’t show me one sold for ANYWHERE near that money especially that style air cleaner… I see them at Carlisle/Nats for $200 and watch them take them back home.

I’m not arguing with you. Just saying, if i needed one right now, I wouldn’t be able to find one for $200. I would pay the $300 plus if I needed it, and other people would too if they needed one.

Thanks I am not arguing either. I am just pointing out to the OP of what it would sell for missing the osac valve. Otherwise his would just be another 74 air cleaner like the ones on eBay waiting around for months on that one buyer…

If he listed it for $200 on ebay it would be the first one to sell. I have paid ridiculous prices for restoration parts because I could only find one person selling it and I needed it. I think we all have been there.
