On your cars or trucks how far back on the in the engine compartment can you feel the air flow from the fan.I am running clutch fan with shroud can only feel flow in front of carb.Have 7 bladed clutch fan .Tired flex fan same thing .I do have air cond.Radiator is not blocked Friend car same fan can feel air back to firewall.I tired electric fan can feel flow back to front windshield. What's going on with my air flow. What i need to know those running a clutch fan how far back can you feel your air flow?

A better fan to move air is the viscous fan and a shroud should be used with it.

I have a perma cool electirc fan on my duster and I can feel the air about mid cylinder head.
The 400 in my Dodge Magnum uses a viscous fan and it's about the same.

I have a 17" 7-blade (no viscous) fan with a shroud, and it hits to mid air cleaner. with just that she runs at a cool 180 in 85 degree heat...

What diffference does it make how far you can feel the air. If it does not overheat. Then your fine. A flex fan is junk and if it shatters it will rip you a nice hole in your radiator and worse yourself. Keep in mind the back of your water pump should be no further or closer than 65 thousands from the inside of the backl of the water pump. Flow is everything. If your timing is off then you can risk overheating.

clutch or viscus fans are simple, easy and cause limited trouble. But with todays crap gasoline and timing issues, electric puller fians behind the radiator and never in front allow for comfortable coolant temp control at idle. if you do not feel adequate air flow behind the fan check to see if you have adequate flow thru the radiator and grill or from under the front of the car, using a air passage. Full shrouds are an absolute must!!!

Foun out radiator fins was not right .no flow through rad
