So, I set up the M60 filter, another smaller water trap, and the regulator on the end line. Everything went well until I tried to adjust the regulated pressure. Air escapes out around the knob you pull out and turn. It wouldn't adjust, at all. It is in correctly for flow direction, the instructions say position is immaterial, and it's brand new. I can read and have followed the short directions that came with it. So do I need another one or am I missing something?

Does it only do it when reducing pressure? Some take a while to release the excess psi.
Otherwise I would return it. Probably a cracked seal or o ring.

All of the time, no matter what I do.

I think it matters what side you have the pressure hooked to them also. (Inlet/outlet)

Agreed, it has arrows for that, and it was aligned right.

As Mike had said it should only bleed off until it reaches the set pressure. Try cranking it up to the tank pressure, if it leaks at tank pressure then it's bad.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to say that I took it back and got another one that works fine.

Was it made in China :poke:. Regulators use rubber parts and from what I've seen the Chinese have never figured out how to manufacture rubber that holds air... so sick of flat bike tires, wheelbarrows, dollies, air chucks, etc!!

Beats me, but most likely yes.
