Alcohol in gas

Anyone out there know of a way to clean alcohol in gas out of a carburetor that only has a few hours on it without tear down?

Have you tried running fresh gas through the engine (running I mean) ???

Or is this a project on the bench?

If this is a carburettor on the bench, you could try flooding it with methylated spirits.

That will remove all gasoline type liquids.

What are we working on? Car or generator/weed eater/small equipment?

Run the car with ethanol free gas container connected fo fuel pump

Off the engine? Carter turn it upside down and drain it. Holley remove a lower float bowl screw from each float bowl and drain.

AAAHHHHH....at the end of a long and trying day......a nice single malt Scotch, double of course, neat, water back or a nice Tennessee Sour Mash Sipping Whiskey......Black Jack Daniel's, the same way, or a blended Canadian, CC or VO......or......????....what ever suits your fancy.......Cheers.....

I'm that I worded my question poorly. I'm looking to get the leftover crab from the alcohol out of the carburetors. I'm talking about a car and a generator. Is there any way to clean the gunk out without tear down?

Has it already turned to gunk in the carburetor? Has some time passed since it was last run, like 3-4 months or more?

If it was recently running then run good gas through it by starting the engine with good gas going in the fuel line.
