Hey guy's my factory 69 Charger hinges have a little play in them and I thought I had seen somebody on here that would rebuild them, but I happened across the AMD ones one Ebay $207.00 shipped for all 4. Does anyone have any experience with these? I had saw the guys with the 71-up AMD B body hinges having some problems with the lower ones. They looked identical to me but it's pretty hard to tell in a picture without comparing it to a original. If anyone knows anybody that rebuilds these hinges at a decent price I would just have mine rebuilt as they have very minimal play. Thanks!!

Hey green....If your old hinges have some slop but are still usable, I would definitely recommend rebuilding the ones you already have. I don't care who is making the parts, the OEM stuff is always better in my experiences.

To rebuild them is pretty easy compared to the other stuff you been doing on your car.
Only pain can be getting the old bushings out, but usually some heat helps pop them out.

You can shop around, but these guys have them..Save yourself some lute!

(comes with full instructions)

Just my 2 cents...

Yeah thats kind of weird the top hinges have no bushings? and it looks like the inner part (that bolts to door jam) is the part that is "loose" looks to me like you would have to re-drill both pieces and put a oversize pin in place or drill out the inner part larger and put bushings in it (which is the way it should have been done originally!!!) Thanks for the link Prop!

Yep I rebuild them, shoot me a pm and we can chat. BTW mine are only $145 shipped to you and rebuilt with all USA parts and your hinges or my cores if yours need to be replaced.

I bought the rebuild kit from mega parts, I am just going to rebuild them.

Don't forget to fix the detent! (BTW the bushing will cause the housings to crack eventually and/or the bushings to contumely wear out; and usually squeak.)

Just did this on a 69 Charger- owner bought bushings and pin from Napa; close.

Didn't fit right. So we drilled out, just a tad, the hinges, to fit new bushings in, and had to use the old pins. Where no bushings, we drilled out for them, had to install them upside down, and shorten them(put a bolt through them, hold with pliers, then the grinder, easy, Then had to grind off just a tad of the bushing shoulder, same thing).

Old body shop guy was in awe. perfect.
