I appreciate the help with getting this AMD hood painted on this 69 GTX. Anybody have the starting point paint codes for the F8 Green and the Black treatment? Any info/tips will be appreciated. I think all the hinges, latches etc that attach to the hood get painted body color? And the Hood vent block offs get the black treatment on top and bottom?

Thanks again.

The area between the stripes is 11 1/2" wide, the outside edges are the full width of the cowl. Paint code is DDL 9355 which is a lacquer formula, I believe it's available in a non-lacquer paint. Eiter way, it is a textured flat black much like wet or dry sandpaper...

Thanks, so that paint code is for the black satin? Do you happen to have the code for the green? And I assume the red in the metal blanks is correct? where do I get that paint? Thanks Jay

The correct paint is actually textured, not satin. If the hood is equipped with an Air Grabber the inserts would be red, non-Air Grabber cars have black inserts. I. Used ‘69 Rallye Red for the inserts.
