hey guys , I’m finally getting back to my runner and you know how it goes when you leave a project for an extended period of time , nothing goes smoothly and there is a TON of head space ! Here’s my dilemma , first off amd quarters don’t exactly fit like one quarters , surprise !! Non the less I can overcome that . The issue I’m having is the contour of the b pillar , where the glass trim meets the quarter . Is there a slight concave curve there or should it be a straight shot . My trim is slightly tweaked so it’s not exactly a good template . i know a lot of you guys have done these and probably a bazillion pages on this site to show your progress but if you can guide me to it more quickly I would really appreciate it ! Thanks in advance you guys are awesome !

Sorry I meant OEM quarters ( stupid auto correct )

Are we to assume from your call-tag that these are for a 69 Roadrunner?

I'm not a body guy, but I do have my 69 Charger going through body work right now and we used new AMD rear quarter on both sides. I know they had to do a little trimming to put them on, but they didn't say anything about having issues with things lining up, and they are just finishing the metal work on mine right now.

I would clarify what car they are for, and I'm sure there will be someone that can speak to it. Attached are the only pictures I have to mine being installed so far. I expect more today or tomorrow, but they haven't come yet, and like I said, they JUST finished putting them on.

I’m sorry for the lack of info , I got ahead of myself and frustration was kicked in high gear . I’m working on a 69 road runner

You can see how the trim lays in place ,,, OR NOT

Got approximately the same issues with my AMD quarters too.
Once they were in place and welded I did tin work to fill that gap and it is way better. Now the car is at the paint shop, so the painter just has to put some body filler to smooth out that area.
For the trim gap with the new quarters, I mock them up just like you did then I did some body filler and now they fit very nicely :)

Beyond that, I'm very happy with the quality of there products. Good luck with those! Glad I am finish with that big body work step.

Good luck!

Congrats , you made it through the hard part ! Lol , thanks for your thoughts . If nothing else , it gives me a little more patience knowing it’s not just me that is having this issue . I emailed amd and they said “ looks like they fit pretty good “and “ it takes time and it can be aggravating to get them perfect “ lmao !!!!!
