ACC Carpet right out of the box. It does have some jute backing on it, not real thick but at least its there.

Been working on the grill awhile now, this is about as good as I can get it, the chrome is beat up pretty bad from people opening the hood with tools or wads of keys in their hands. The SEM trim black matches good.

Put the new carpet and old bucket seats in it, and decided its time I drive it around before the weather turns bad!86D4BEA2-DA9D-443C-9C24-1913181B50FB.jpeg67E7EBCD-24A3-49B1-8677-6ECCA1BBBB4E.jpeg

My wonderful Chinese ECU failed already, so I am converting to HEI- I wired this module in temporarily and it runs even better! More on the conversion when parts arrive.

Finished up the back seat for the 73 Duster while waiting for parts, and just in time to deliver it to Montana and bomb around in the mountains in the Can-Am this weekend.

Decided to mount the HEI on the bottom of the dizzy like all the cool kids, seems like the cleanest way to do it the pickup coil plugs right in to it and the other two terminals are keyed power and coil negative. Does not get much simpler.9058BCAB-4C46-463A-BA47-3470F5261D2C.jpeg

My ignition is working very well now with the HEI module and E core coil. I do not like the look of the modern coil but I chose reliability and efficiancy over originality. The whole engine is wrong for this car anyway.

We went for a 100 mile cruise through the wheat country yesterday me and the dog. Ran perfect not even a hiccup.

After that cruise I had a burning desire to fix my alignment issues. Could not get any caster even with the offset bushings so I modified the A-arms by moving the ball joints aft 1-1/4 inch. Big difference it drives great now! I covered this in another recent thread.

Good time to put in those splash shields with no tires in the way

Good progress on Earl this week, fixed my alignment problem, recurved distributor to 20 initial, 34 total and 9 vacuum, cranked up the pump pressure in the transmission and then had a great drive through the country roads today. I can be happy now leaving it in the shop all winter while I do the upholstery/interior.

Hauled *** down this road steering with 2 fingers, before the A arm mods it would have been 2 white knuckle fists.
