Successful first run cam break-in today, had everything ready to go and it fired up instantly. Got a short punch list to take care of but nothing big. Drove it around some in the yard, the transmission is working fine ao far.
Good to know the flow master FX fit with no modification. I have two cars with TTI and dynomax mufflers. I like them, when I order my exhaust for my challenger I will go with the Flow masters so it will have a different sound then the others.
Rear bumper arrived yesterday after 15 week lead time, looked wavy sitting on the bench, but once on the car looks pretty good. The waviness went away after I quit staring at it.
I can hear you thinking “hey you need to paint the roof first!”
I had just enough SPI epoxy primer left to put on a couple good wet coats. I wanted the epoxy fairly fresh, my reasoning being the glue will stick better.
I am going to do all of the upholstery myself, and also do my buddy's 73 Duster at the same time with the same material (black).
I dismantled my paint jail and put it away for next time, needed the space for all the upholstery work.
Hi, any chance you could do a few more pics of the wheel/tire combos while sitting on the ground? I have 4 15x8 rallye wheels to go on my Bird and planning on using the same tires on back, but 245/60r15 on front so one size larger on a 1" wider wheel. I think it should look good but always appreciate real world comparisons before I buy the tires, etc. Car looks fantastic, not sure mine is going to be done to such a high level but I'll try!
