An "SRT Barracuda"?!?

i thought the look was retro modern for these new "muscle cars".that is just modern.its like the new dart, nothing to do with the original except the name.why bother with the old names if you are not going to give any shout out to the original in your design.why not just call it "the starfighter" and be done with it.

It's kind of funny that the bottom picture labels the car as a 1970 440-6 cuda but clearly the car is a 1971 model.

I call myself right open minded about stuff, but that looks nothing like any Barracuda.

X2. It looks like a Toyota. But the rear side windows are shaped differently. So it looks like... a Toyota!

Pabster I like both, the 1999 Charger RT Concept, looks better than what they actually produced, I like some of them too thou & the 2013 SRT Barracuda Concept, are OK, it could grow on me, they aren't the old very cool 66-74 B-Body Chargers {especially the 68 Charger RT, my personal Favorite} or the 70-74 E-Body or the popular 67-69 A-Body Barracuda's, even the 64-66 Barracuda, but they are a performance based platform at least, I can live with SRT branding instead of Plymouth name brand, as much as Plymouth is my favorite brand of all time, it does only have only 2 doors at least, real performance production cars should only have 2 doors IMHO anyway...LOL... I love the retro style of the Newer Challenger's, BUT, Time always moves FORWARD, you of all people should now that word...LOL... my fellow Raiders & Mopar Brotheren...

My first thought when I saw it: 2012 Camaro. :edgy:

What the hell, soon the whole model line will just be different sized eggs painted different colors. But all eggs.

X3. 'cuda is kind of sacred. As are all the old names as far as im concerned. They dragged the road runner name thru the mud till 1980. They put the challenger name on a mitsu **** heap in the 70's. The charger name on glorified omni's. Three hundred on front drive six banger crap. Sebring and aspen as well. Maybe someone should tell them it isnt the name so much as the car its on. If they actually could build a 1970 cuda and sell it brand new tomorrow but had to name it an srt ball sack, I would rob a bank to buy it if i had to. I dont think i would run out and buy that blue thing just cause it says barracuda on it.

im with the BIGREDBIRD on this one. looks like or " resembles" a ******* CAMARO.! (vomit).

in the 30's and 40's...all cars kinda looked alike. (to me anyway)
the 50's, 60's and 70's...cars were distinguishable and you could tell what it is....

now were back to all cars looking alike......dont these car companies have "imagination" anymore?

when you saw a 1970 Road Runner....you KNEW it was a 1970 Road Runner.

when you saw a '68 fastback mustang...you knew exactly what it was

when you saw a Javelin or an AMX...you KNEW who made that car....

WHAT HAPPENED TO STYLE AND DESIGN ?:angry1: they all look the frikkin same to me....and what the hell does SRX mean? Plymouth had a much more muscley name...DONTYATHINK ?

dont care for it...I bet it will look more like a Cuda when it rolls off the line....look how well the challenger sold in the retro..

I'm not a fan of the Challenger retirement. I was hoping they were going to put it on a diet and keep it around. The car looks ok IMO, but they need to make it not look like the Camaro.

Agreed! Over all for a newer version of the cars, it doesn't look that bad, Wouldn't want one if i could afford it, but beats the hell out of some of the others running the streets! :)

the Challenger did well because IT LOOKS LIKE A CHALLENGER !:headbang:

i have a question....:

whats stopping car companies from breaking out the old dies and presses and making cars EXACTLY how they looked back in the day.....but put in all the new technology of today? i would love to have a newly pressed 1970 Road Runner with a todays big HEMI ...all that power.....gas mileage ( to a degree).. it might hurt the value of our original cars huh ?
