My road runner has great power and compared to my old coronet gets pretty good gas mileage. I have a rough idle. Choke is set lean and not hanging up.
Starts easily, no smoke, but extended idle does smell rich.
Number 7 is the darkest, but none were wet. Nice amber around the insulator/electrode.
Thanks in advance for your expert advice.

I'm no expert but I will steal the egg carton idea.
I'll bite. My 2 cents, maybe a touch on the lean side overall but not bad. How long were they run?
Again, I am no expert.

These plugs have about 10,000 miles on them.

What is you vacuum reading at idle ? Does your car spend a good time at idle ?

Recalling from memory best vacuum I can get at idle is 15. This car gets mostly around town low speed driving.

Thought so. At least from what my old eyes can see on those pics, but they appear pretty good. Question is, was that vacuum steady ? One of the first things I learned as a kid in the garage a billion years ago, when someone came in for a tune-up, always take a vacuum reading before and after.

Do absolutely nothing......plug coloration IMO IS ACCEPTABLE. Maybe consider AUTOLITE AP85 or CHAMPION UJ-12Y or AC R44S in lieu of the NGK presently in service (V center electrode....it does nothing except costs more).......just my opinion

Yes, with mostly city driving I would go one step hotter, NGK '4' s. The hotter plug should help burn off some of the carbon deposits on the insulator which are bleeding off some of the spark energy. I use 4s in a car that gets drag raced.
