The previous owner of my 68 RR cut the factory dash for aftermarket guages. He did a nice job, but I prefer stock original style. I found a dash from a 69RR locally. I was wondering if it would work if I swap the pad.
I am also courious if there are any issues tranfering the vin tag on the new dash.
Thanks

You'll have to buy the proper 'rosette' rivets for the VIN tag. A/C frames are different than non-A/C.

ECS sells the correct VIN plate rivets. I think the ignition switch hole is a slightly different size between the 2 years, but can be made to work.

yes, the '69 has the bigger ignition switch. aside from the ac/non ac dash, the metal frame is the same.

Great info! Thanks again for the help

Make sure you check your wiring....i have a 69 sport satellite....had to replace due to a fire under dash....rplaced it with a 68 dash....difference is now my parking lots dont work when i put my headlights on full. They do work when i have the lights switch halfway on. Guess thats the lights setup in 68's. Annoying otherwise everything should be the same.

Heater controls are different and the '69 dash pad is molded to conform to the heater controls.

forgot about the heater control. I always put a '69/'70 style in mine since I like the light. started doing that with my '68 Charger.
