I remember going to Mopars on the Potomac at Fort Hunt in Alexandria, but that was at least 25 years ago. Maybe there was another show somewhere else too but its been to long and I don’t remember. Just wondering if there was anything local?

SIAC, the club that used to put on some great shows in northern Virginia and Maryland (including the one you remember at Fort Hunt Park in Alexandria), disappeared nearly thirty years ago. There are still Mopar shows in the area, but none that could rival the SIAC shows of the 80's and early 90's in Alexandria and Mayo Beach, Maryland.

For those that can view them, I included links to my Facebook photo albums from the most recent of each of the following shows I've attended.

Chrysler Product Owners Club still does a few small Mopar shows at dealerships in the Maryland and Virginia suburbs of Washington D.C., but it doesn't look like they've updated their website lately. http://cpocdc.org/ Its been a while since I've attended a CPOC show.

Rappahannock Mopar Club typically does one Mopar show a year at a Chrysler Dodge dealer in Culpepper, Virginia (usually in the fall).

Not too far from northern Virginia is Mopar Day at Mason Dixon Dragway in Boonesboro, Maryland with a car show, racing, and vendors.

Also not far from northern Virginia is the once a year Mopar show at Miller Chrysler Dodge in Martinsburg, WV.

There was a club down there called "Tidewater Mopar" around VA Beach. Might be a ways from you.

I was lucky enough to get to Mayo once, in the late 80's. I had a program or booklet from the SIAC at some point.

If you can view Facebook photo albums, below are links to the pictures I took over a few years at Mopars on the Beach, and later at the Prince Georges Equestrian Center. The event moved due to out growing the beach facility and asked to never return. At the time (early 80's to early 90's), before the days of Chrysler Carlisle, Mopars on the Beach was the second largest Mopar show on the planet with only the Mopar Nationals being larger. It typically attracted about 600 to 700 vintage Mopar muscle cars. SIAC (Special Interest Auto Club) was a club for Barracudas and Challengers and was the club that put on the event. They didn't print any program for the event, but they had a thin black and white quarterly magazine called "The All American Racer" (the club was originally formed for AAR Cudas and T/A Challengers).

And yes, as you can see in this photo, there was a beach there!
