Any tips or videos on removing the dashpad from 1969 satellite? Where to purchase new one?

Helping my friend with a new to him 69 Satellite. The dash pad is cracked in many places and probably the worst part of the interior. I’m trying to help him remove it without removing the windshield (hopefully that’s possible?). I can’t really find any videos or instructions on the screw locations or what needs to be disassembled to even get to them?

My plan of action was to just start taking everything apart and taking pictures/labeling as I go but wanted to see if there was an easier route.

Also if anyone has a recommendation on where to get a new dash pad I’d greatly appreciate it!

It has been years , lol.
1st pull the negative cable off the battery.
Next pull the front seat or seats.
Look at the replacment pad for stud locations.
Pull glove box liner, and main dash cluster.
1/4" drive good fine tooth rachet 2 long extentions and a short,
These are the stamped speed nuts up there if I recall correct, ethire 6 or 8 ?
If your not pulling the dash itself the glass can stay.
If you are going to unhook or move anything take some pics, like the cluster ect.
When going back put some dum dum or a little piece off strip caulk in the socket to hold the nut.
Grab some glasses there is going to be crap falling.
Don't over tighten the new nuts.

Top pad or bottom pad? Directions above pretty good. Remove seats, steering column, had the heater core out for a rebuild, side vents too, what ever it takes to get at them. I did my RR without removing the dash or windshield. I have a black interior , got the the top pad from Mega Parts.

You can do the upper without removing anything. Note stud locations on new pad. 1/4 with long extensions and a bit of patience.

Yah, maybe, but putting the nuts on the studs to reinstall is a bit of a beeeotch this way.
Agreed, but I found it easier than removing the lower dash panel and switch plate which is required to remove the cluster in a 69. Dum dum on the socket is required.
