Send me a PM if able/available and willing to check out a car for me in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

It's not a Mopar and it's not currently running. Seller says it was running a month and a half ago. Just need body/paint visually checked and look underneath at front/rear suspension and floor pans for obvious signs of damage.

I'll pay you for your time/help/etc.

Seller says he is renting and will not be taking the car with him when he moves. He'll be gone by mid-December which is when I could go look at it myself. He is probably moving out at the end of November.

Thanks

Fellow member @alsant has volunteered to look over the car for me. Thank you.

I would like to publicly express my appreciation of a very helpful FBBO member in Arizona.

@alsant took time yesterday from his busy day to go over the car and describe its condition, as well as send me detailed pictures after our 1+ hour call.

Thank you very much!

Are you purchasing the said car?
Ok, I'll show a couple of pics from the seller.

Of course the devil is in the details and this one has lots of devils and probably a few gremlins for good measure.

I'm still reviewing pictures sent to me by alsant.

and gathering marbles from the floor.

I always kinda liked those.......in the 80s, I worked at a place that did mainly Porsche work; both old and new. what year is that one?

Those are a blast to drive. A friend had one years ago. I hope it works out for you!

1979 Porsche 928
4.5 liter V-8. 16 valves, not 32 valves for this model year.
5 speed manual transmission. I would never choose an automatic Porsche 928.
Slick top...no moon roof. I don't like moon roofs.

Yes, stay away from the automatic at all cost. Big bucks to fix when it takes a dump.

That's a nice looking Porsche. The old German engineering would have me a little worried on what needs fixed. I'm guessing parts would be expensive and from Germany.

I have an old friend in SW Arizona that has one languishing in his garage. It was his father in laws. I wonder if he still has it?

Didn't Tom Cruise dump one in Lake Michigan in Risky Business ?

I had an early morning race against one of those back in '89. The guy obviously was short of balls or had more braincells than I did.....I left him behind at 130mph.

Southern motorway heading south at around 7:30am.....on my way to work in the '70 Road Runner with a 440 and 4-speed.
I was pumped seeing that car in the rear-view mirror.
