Anyone in the 'Falls City/Derby City' area know this car? Can check on this car?

I am a native of Louisville, Kentucky and depending on vacation availability I will fly in to checkout this car. Thought I'd start here to see if anyone in the area knew about it, or could check it out. Might save me a plane ticket if it's misrepresented or way overpriced.

Thanks for any help or information. Happy New Year!

IMO for 60 Grand there is probably better detailed ones out there... When I see stuff like rust on both rocker seams, rusty dash, rotted carpet, crusty kick panel, pitted emblems, cardboard and tape fan shroud, painted door locks and strikers it makes you wonder...

Not a 60K car. Note pictures of flaws noted above that will require some serious additional money to spend soon to improve. Kick panels, carpet, fan shroud are not that expensive, but rust repair is, and if you can see rust there IS more.

Did we save you the cost of a plane ticket?

This car has many similarities to my first car that I bought in 1979. Yes, the more green the better in my eyes.

I was surprised to see the duct tape radiator shroud myself. I thought why would a high end classic car dealer show that picture? Is Gateway becoming another Maple Motors? If so they need to adjust the prices 30 to 40%.

I'm getting the feedback I expected from the FBBO community.

I asked Gateway to contact me. I'd like to hear any details about the seller or the car's restoration. I'll update accordingly.

Thanks for the feedback. Happy New Year.

For what it's worth, the only GTX I ever rejected after an inspection was marketed by Gateway for the individual who ended up buying it, three years after I walked away. They were offering the car for $30k over what I had been willing to pay in 2015.

What you can see on the underbody concerns me also. There appears to be some repair panels in place that look to be the standard EDP coating, there are a couple of places where you can see the spray on undercoating (what's hiding under that?). And in a couple of pics you can see rust under flaked-off paint where the body plugs were pushed in. If you put patch panels in why not paint the whole underside, or if you spray on undercoat why not spray where the rust shows. This and other things you can see should make you wonder what you can't see/know. If the pics are an example of the cosmetic(?) work done, what about the mechanicals? If I recall Gateway sells "as is," that and what they are willing to show in pics tell me to "run away."
The aftermarket gauges under the dash and the appearance of the rally gauge faces make me suspect the factory gauge cluster does not work.

Should that car have square exhaust tips being a Dodge?

Looks like Plymouth tips to me.

As mentioned, (Run Forest Run).
Don’t know if this is permitted. If not I will cancel the post.
A fellow nearby has a nice 69 RR coupe; 383 auto bench, that his Father bought new. Has been driven some every year. He will sell it.
