I have a 1970 D100 SWB Sweptline
Mileage has always sucked. Still does with the Gear vendor. When I added the Gear Vendor, I changed from 3.21 open rear to 3.55 sure grip. Mileage went from 10 mpg to maybe 12 at times. I never did haul much weight with it over the years. It was mostly my commuter vehicle from new to the early 90's when gas prices forced me to start driving my 89 Dynasty to work. It was getting pretty rusty and pushing 500,000 miles on the clock. I started buying up parts for the resto and finally did the upgrades and new parts in 2012. Have not driven much since then.What kind of mileage do you get with the GV and normal highway driving empty?

318 2bbll,727 trans,unsure of rear looks like the bigger 9-1/4?
body is in Vgc and has 2 packages,the Adventurer and the Prospector.
truck is loaded for its gen,cruise tilt deluxe interior and so forth.
heavy duty radiator,a/c,power brakes,bright trim and grillwork.
guy wants a grand for it,bad transmission and some rust on bed fender edges.
92k original miles.
any opinions?
